Pool Demolition Contractor Kansas City, KS

Inground pool removal in Kansas City, Kansas will usually involve first draining the pool, then drilling holes in the bottom, demolishing the top, and lastly the pool will need to be filled with the rubble and additional dirt soil.

However, if above ground pool removal is what you're needing, luckily completing that task is much less complicated. All that will be done here is draining the pool, breaking it down and then hauling it away.

There are some pros to getting your inground pool demolished:

  • You save yourself money and time (pool maintenance is costly and time consuming)
  • You won't have the hazards typically associated with pool ownership.
  • If you plan on selling your house, it could be a better selling point and appeal to more buyers
  • You're opening up your backyard to more space. More space=more opportunities
  • If you have young kids, removing your pool also removes the safety risk of possible drowning.

So how is a pool demolished? First step is to decide if you are needing partial or complete pool removal. Partial pool removal (filling in a pool) is the most common form used and its usually least costly. This first involves draining the pool of any water that may be remaining. Once emptied, holes are punched into the bottom of the pool for any needed drainage in the future. Next step is the top layer of the pool is destroyed and broken up into small pieces, then the pool is filled with the rubble at the bottom of it. The hole is then filled with soil and gravel, and compacted. With complete pool removal, the pool is drained and then all of its materials (fiberglass, concrete, liner, etc.) are all loaded up and hauled away. The now barren area is filled with soil and compacted.

While a complete pool removal is more costly, it may be easier to sell your home in the future doing it this way. Be sure to call us today to get a free quote on your complete or partial pool removal.
